Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, join leagues, or use our features:

• Account Information: Email address, password (encrypted), and display name/handle
• Profile Information: Fantasy platform usernames (Sleeper, ESPN, etc.), social media links, gamer tags, motto, and optionally uploaded stats
• League Registration Data: League preferences, draft window preferences, payment-review evidence when submitted, and notes to admin
• Communications: Direct messages, league chat messages, and support conversations
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, device information, and interaction data
• Paid-Play Verification State: When required, OWB stores normalized verification status, coarse country/region, age-threshold result, provider reference, and expiration. Raw verification materials and precise location are not part of normal OWB eligibility records.

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account and profile
• Facilitate league registration, matchmaking, and management
• Coordinate external treasury workflows and review payment evidence without treating an uploaded screenshot as authoritative payment confirmation
• Send you notifications about leagues, drafts, payments, and platform updates
• Display your profile, stats, and achievements to other users (based on your privacy settings)
• Provide customer support and resolve disputes
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the Service
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Treasury Providers: When you join a paid league, we share your email and league details with the assigned treasury provider (e.g., LeagueSafe, TeamStake) to facilitate payment processing
• Fantasy Platforms: If you connect your Sleeper, ESPN, or Yahoo account, those platforms receive the connection data you authorize
• Service Providers: Third parties that help us operate the Service (hosting, analytics, email delivery) under appropriate data protection agreements
• Legal Compliance: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety
• Business Transfers: In connection with any merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

Public profile fields are separate from private eligibility, treasury, contact, and compliance records. Verification state and private compliance records are not exposed to commissioners or ordinary league members.

OWB retains active account and service data only for as long as it is needed for the feature, account, league, support, safety, payment-review, or operational purpose for which it was collected. We do not state a single fixed retention period for every record type because different records serve different operational, dispute, safety, accounting, and legal purposes.

Self-service account deletion removes the OWB player profile and wipeable private account data such as connected accounts, current registrations and reservations, direct messages involving the deleted account, saved searches, bookmarks, marketing-consent records, and other user-owned preference or feature records covered by the deletion workflow.

Certain records are not silently erased by account deletion when OWB must preserve platform integrity or an auditable history. These may include immutable security/audit events, versioned legal acceptance records, normalized compliance-decision records, payment or contest records that must remain reconcilable, and historical competitive outcomes that affect other participants. Retained records should be limited to what is necessary for those purposes and are not restored as an active player profile if the user later returns.

A minimal private deletion/re-onboarding marker may also be retained so a returning platform identity does not automatically inherit the deleted OWB profile, faction, points, or prior account state.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted password storage, access controls, and secure data transmission.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information.

OWB uses browser storage for essential session and security state and for user-requested preferences such as navigation state, saved interface choices, draft/GM working state, notification settings, and other local product conveniences. Disabling essential storage may prevent parts of the Service from working correctly.

OWB also uses first-party product analytics and conversion telemetry to understand feature usage and improve the Service. The launch-funnel telemetry is designed not to include contact values, payment proof, payment credentials, provider tokens, or gameplay/economy authority. Third-party services may apply their own storage or tracking when you leave OWB for their sites or use an integrated service.

Marketing communication consent is separate from essential service storage and transactional notifications. Where OWB offers a marketing opt-in, declining or revoking marketing consent does not disable unrelated account, league, safety, support, or payment-status communications.

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including but not limited to:

• Fantasy Platforms: Sleeper, ESPN, Yahoo, Fantrax
• Treasury Providers: LeagueSafe, TeamStake
• Social Platforms: Discord, YouTube, Twitch
• Analytics & Infrastructure: Hosting providers, email delivery services

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy and data practices. We encourage you to review their policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal requirements)
• Opt out of certain communications and notifications
• Control the visibility of your email address on your profile

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

OWB supports paid-play restrictions including self-exclusion, cool-off periods, and compliance holds. These restrictions are enforced separately from free platform access and cannot be overridden by a league commissioner.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material versions are tracked separately. When a new version requires renewed acceptance for a paid feature, OWB will request explicit acceptance before that paid feature can be used; continued use of unrelated free features is not treated as acceptance.
